I spent 3 days in London in September 2024. Being the first time in London, the trip was filled with standard tourist stuff. My impression of London was that it had lots of luxury cars; food there was expensive (like 35 pound food court ramen expensive); it had very narrow streets; streets were filled marking […]

During the second half of the first day at Barcelona, after enjoying Sagrada Familia and tapas for lunch, I loaded the second roll of film for the trip, a roll of Fujifilm Superia 400. The walk took place during the opening game of IPL 2024 – why do I remember this? I was worrying about […]

I went to Barcelona for the first time in late March 2024. The trip was mostly just city walk, tapas, and lots of Antoni Gaudi. My first impression of the city was how well the city was planned – full of grid, though unlike NYC, the just-right-density does not introduce too much traffic. Chamfered further […]

With a roll of black and white film, I decided to study the function of lines in composition in the (finally) snowy Boston winter. I had been amazed by the beautiful color rendering of modern films, but I had only tried black and white film once in 2020. It was a trial without any purpose. […]

I finally got my hands on a roll of black and white film. I did have any idea about black and white films, so I chose a 400 roll just to make sure I’ll be able to use it in more situations compared to a 100. ILFORD’s name seems to be everywhere when you look […]

I spent July 2020 to finish this roll of expired Fujicolor PRO 400H with my beloved Leica M6. Despite the endless pandemic of COVID-19, we still love to enjoy some out door time during the summer month. A morning walking in the Boston Public Park was more than enough to shake off WFH stress. We […]

2020 has been a crazy year so far. Both our personal life and the world. I had a plan to take a roll of film photos every month, but this roll of Ektar 100 took way more time to get fully winded. Life can be crazy, but it alway goes on. Spring eventually will arrive.
